Erewhon smoothie calories
Erewhon prints the ingredients but not the nutrition. So we rebuilt the drinks from their own lists.
Erewhon publishes no nutrition panel for its smoothies, so there is no official figure to quote. Rebuilt from the ingredient lists Erewhon does publish, their smoothies land at roughly 294-637 calories for a 20 oz cup, depending on how much coconut cream, nut butter, date and maple syrup the recipe carries. These are our reconstructions, not Erewhon's figures.
Independent analysis. Smoothie Calculator is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Erewhon.
Erewhon does not publish calorie counts for its smoothies. Not on the tonic bar menu, not on the product pages, not on the smoothie kits they ship nationwide. So every calorie figure you have seen attached to an Erewhon smoothie came from somebody outside Erewhon, working backwards from a photograph and a guess.
What Erewhon does publish is the ingredients. Their smoothie kit pages list them in order, and the tonic bar pages name what goes into each drink. So we took those lists, rebuilt each smoothie in the 20 oz cup Erewhon sizes its kits to, and let the smoothie calorie calculator total it from a real ingredient database. That is the table below.
These are reconstructions, and we say so plainly. Erewhon does not release gram weights, so the pours are our judgment, and a few of their components have no direct match in the database: coconut cream, sea moss, marine collagen, the fruit glazes. Read the table as what those stated ingredients come to, not as Erewhon's own numbers.
Erewhon smoothies rebuilt from their published ingredient lists
Our reconstructions, one 20 oz serving each, totalled from per-100 g values in the Smoothie Calculator ingredient database. The ingredient lists are Erewhon's own; the pours and the arithmetic are ours. Coconut cream, collagen, sea moss and the fruit glazes are approximated with the nearest database match, so treat every row as an estimate built from stated ingredients rather than a figure from Erewhon.
What moves the number in an Erewhon build
Coconut cream, avocado, almond butter or all three appear on most Erewhon ingredient lists. In every close copy above, that creamy line finishes in the top three of the calorie column. Fruit is bulky and cheap per gram. The spoonful that makes the drink taste expensive is neither.
Erewhon's own lists name dates, maple syrup and cane-sugar fruit glazes, sometimes two of them in the same drink. On the mango rebuild there are two separate sweetener lines before you even count the orange juice. Sweetener is the easiest thing on an ingredient list to skim past.
Collagen, marine collagen, sea moss, spirulina, vitamin C, mushroom blends. Erewhon lists a lot of them, and they are a large part of why the drinks are priced the way they are. A protein or collagen scoop is not free either, and on more than one rebuild above it is the single largest line.
The kit pages spell out 20 oz cups and portion each kit to fill four of them. That is a large serving by default, and every rebuild above is sized to it. A smaller cup would pull all six totals down together, which is the least interesting way to change the number.
Strawberry, mango, pineapple and banana make up most of the volume on every Erewhon list, and a minority of the total in every rebuild above. If you want to know what actually moves an Erewhon smoothie, it is not the fruit. It is what gets stirred through the fruit.
How to order it lighter, or rebuild it at home
Glazes and drizzles are separate components on Erewhon's own ingredient lists, which means they can be left off. So can the coconut cream. Dropping the two finishing layers changes a drink far more than swapping one fruit for another ever will.
Erewhon prints the kit ingredients in order, which is the closest thing to a recipe you are going to get. Buy the fruit yourself, keep the order, and you control the two lines that matter: how much cream goes in and how much sweetener follows it.
Greek yogurt does the job coconut cream and collagen do together, thickness and protein, without the fat line. The lighter strawberry build above does exactly that and comes in at roughly half the close copy, on the same almond milk base and the same strawberries.
A build-your-own is where add-ins pile up, because each one sounds small on its own. In the stacked custom build above, the boosts and the nut butter together outweigh the fruit and the milk combined, and none of them were the point of the order.
