Highest calorie fruits
Three rankings of the same 11 fruits, because "highest calorie" means a different list depending on whether you are weighing it, serving it or filling a cup with it.
By weight, banana tops the list at 89 calories per 100 g. It holds the top spot on a per-serving basis too. Lemon Juice sits at the other end at 22 per 100 g.
Most fruit rankings pick one measure and stop there, which is how the same fruit ends up called both the highest and the lowest in calories on different pages. A fruit that is dense per gram can be light per serving if the serving is small, and a fruit that is light per gram can carry more in a cup because more of it fits. All three are true at once and none of them is the answer on its own.
So all three are here. Per 100 g is the standard nutrition basis and the right one for comparing foods. Per serving uses each fruit's own household measure, which is what you actually put in a jar. Per cup levels the volume so the fruits compete on the same footing — the column most rankings leave out, and the one that matters when you are filling the frozen third of a blend.
Every figure comes from the same ingredient database the calculators read, so nothing here can drift from the rest of the site.
Every fruit, sorted your way
Sorted by calories per 100 g to begin with. Switch the ordering to see how much the ranking moves.
Showing 11 of 11 fruits, sorted by per 100 g. Per serving uses each fruit's own household measure, shown under its name; per cup uses a level cup of 145 g so the fruits compare against each other on the same volume. Sugar and fiber are per serving.
Which fruit is highest in calories per serving
The per-serving ordering, spelled out, because it is the one that answers the practical question. Each fruit is shown at its usual household measure.
Ranked by one household serving of each. Compare against the per-100 g column above — the two orders are not the same, and the difference is serving size rather than the fruit.
What to do with this
The denser fruits help, but the liquid and the base help far more. The hub puts the four levers in order.
The same question from the other end — read this table bottom-up for that one.
The full database, not just the fruit — liquids, bases and boosts with the same figures.
Put the fruit in a blend and see what it comes to alongside everything else.
Estimates, not advice. Every figure on this page is calculated from published per-100 g reference values and standard household measures, so your own brands, portions and equipment will move it. Nothing here is medical, nutritional or dietetic advice — talk to a qualified professional before acting on it, particularly if you are pregnant, managing a health condition, or feeding a child.
